The Squad, the Socialist Quartet, and other names have come to designate a group within the Democrat party. This group of four freshmen Representatives has claimed their own unique bubble. Now joined at the hip, they are intent on grabbing and holding onto the spotlight of the Democrat party.
Each day these four spend their time enforcing the strength of their radical left wing position. They hurl insults at people, institutions, and even countries, who brand them as radical even for the most left or right leaning politician in office. The President and Speaker of the House are recipients of these insults as well as Homeland Security. The Republic our founding fathers established is maligned as racist and oppressive. No one is immune.
Many of the things said are pure fabrication of the world as they want it to appear. For example, Rep. Cortez, D-N.Y. came away from a border visit saying the women who asked for water were told to drink from the toilets. This is a huge twist of words in order to denigrate the border patrol’s difficult work of handling an influx of immigrants it was never intended to see. In reality, the drinking water faucets are near the toilets, the source of water piped into the center. Anyone asking for water would have been directed to the location which is near the toilets. This type of fabrication, slams and slurs against others is an everyday occurrence from the Squad.
This is one of the most extreme group I have seen in American politics to date. It will be interesting to see how long it can withstand outside forces and maintain a high profile media attention. Why does a position so contrary to everything our Republic stands for gain such attention? It brings to mind the exploits of Bonnie and Clyde who blatantly broke laws no normal citizen would even think about, yet they were idolized by the younger generation as heroes. Both these outlaws and the Squad make a mockery of the norm and get away with it as if no one can touch them. For the bulk of America these are no heroes.
Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn. instroduced a resoulution in the House this week supporting the right of people to participate in the anti-Wmitic and anti-Isreeal Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
BDS is being promoted among students and staff of our colleges. This has fostered discrimination against Jewish students and organizations.
